Easter Eggs Hunts

In North America it is usually celebrated a day that is called ‘’Easter egg day’’.  It’s a day when the children of that country have to go to the road while they are playing like a ‘’game’’: try to catch and find the most eggs in the road. These eggs have chocolate and some toys inside and you can win them finding the eggs.

This is traditional in North America for the Bunny because the youngest children think that the Bunny puts the eggs. It is like the kings in Spain, as the kids think that the Magic Kings bring their presents, but the real thing is that they don’t exist. Now I’m going to explain why the bunny is famous. There’s a legend that says that, when Jesus resurrected, there was a rabbit in the cave with him and he saw it so he wanted to explain it to all the people. He decided to paint the eggs with different colors and give them to people trying to say that. Another legend explains that when Jesus died, people couldn’t eat eggs along the year so that day was like especial and you can eat eggs them to break the tradition. Recently in Spain we celebrate the Mona that’s a especial day when the groomsman brings to his godson/goddaughter a cake with an egg or something like it to celebrate that day because it’s especial. Maybe the cake has some toys or something, one message or things like that pretending that the kid feels good and eats chocolate that day.
