Collateral Beauty

Last summer, I went to Madrid with my family and I went to the cinema with them. We didn’t know what film to watch. Finally, my cousin said “I would like to watch “Collateral Beauty”, my friends watched it and they recommended it to me.” I think that this film will be boring and I won’t like it, but I watched it because one of my favourite actors, Will Smith, is in it and he is so pretty and acts very well.

This film is about one man who is sad, because two years ago, his daughter died, and he doesn’t know what to do. He waits for “love” “time” and “death”. His friends don’t like seeing him like this because he can’t concentrate for work and they try to like help him. They create a plan to force him to face his sufferings in a surprising and deeply humane way. They ask for help from three street actors to represent death, time, and love, and to talk to him so he understands it all. Little by little he recovers from pain, but he needs one person…

If you want to know what happened I recommend this movie! You will not regret watching it! I left the cinema crying, it was one of the best movies that I’ve seen… It also causes many feelings. It was definitely one of the best days out with my family.

Blue Jeans

His true name is Francisco de Paula Fernández and is known as Blue Jeans. He was born in Seville and he is an author from Spain with many followers in his social networking sites. He has a degree in journalism, and he lives in Madrid. He wrote the books, “El club de los incomprendidos”, “Buenos dias princesa!”,”No sonrías que me enamoro” and “¿Puedo soñar con tigo? And the series ended with “Tengo un secreto: el diario de Meri”. It has become the biggest phenomenon in literature from Spain, and is a popular romantic youth novel.

These books are translated into multiple languages, his novels have more than 600,000 followers and his book, “El club de los incomprendidos”, was adapted into a film.

He has been recognized with the prestigious “Premio Cervantes Chico 2013” award.

Prison Break

Hi bloggers! In this post I will tell you about one of my favourite TV series. Prison Break is a TV series that at first I didn’t like because it was about two brothers in prison... but when I saw three episodes I liked so much. There is a man (Lincoln Burrows) and the police said that he killed a famous person, but he said that this is not true. His brother (Michael Scoffield) goes into the prison that Lincoln is held to try and rescue him. But an important thing about Michael is his body; he has a big tattoo with the plans of the prison and how to escape all over his body. His mission is to go into the prison and to escape with his brother.

A Normal Game

We introduced ourselves six weeks ago. When we had a league match and we won second place, since our team lost in the previous game.

This would be the last game; we would find out if we were winners or losers.

The game began, the referee threw the ball and a teammate passed the ball to me, so I grabbed it and without thinking twice threw it at the basket and scored. We had already broken the ice. The match was tied. In the second quarter of the game we were already five points behind, so we thought we would lose the game, but that was not true. We played with team spirit and we went out onto the court with all our strength. The remaining score was eight points up. We started the third quarter but we were getting nervous. The minutes passed, the seconds were faster and faster, but the important thing was that we were winning. The last few minutes of the game were very tense but we won. We had obtained our objective which was to win!

And finally the game ended. We had a very tense but fun party, now we are champions!!

Excercise outdoors or in the gym?

The two forms are very healthy but what is the best form to do excercise?       The benefits of gym exercise are: the intensity is better, there are no climatologically distractions, and you can focus more as there aren’t distractions. And the finals results are better. 

But the disadvantages are: it is very boring running on  a treadmill; you can have distractions.

The benefits of outdoors exercise are: reduces stress and anxiety, when you run near parks, gardens… you relax and the mind clears. Besides you become addicted because that feeling of liberation engages. And the only disadvantage is when the weather is bad.

The Plants

Plants are living beings just like animals, they have no movement.

Plants produce their own food through the process of photosynthesis. They capture the energy of sunlight through chlorophyll and convert carbon dioxide and water into sugars that they use as an energy source.

A plant is composed of four parts, which are:

The root: its function is to fix the plant. Through it the plants obtain nutrients from the soil.

The stem: is the one that gives support to the plant. Some stems are thin and flexible, others, like those of trees, are woody and hard.

The leaf: is the structure where photosynthesis and respiration takes place.

The flower is the reproductive organ. Inside it has all the organs it needs to make the fruit and the seed.

Plants have different types with different characteristics, these are:

Green plants like algae

Earth plants like moss.

Vascular plants such as ferns

Plants with seeds like conifers.

The vascular plants are called superior plants or cormófitas that comprise of the flora. Its main characteristic is that they present a real differentiation of tissues in root, stem, leaves, flowers....

The terrestrial plants are plants that are characterized by having a series of adaptations for life outside the water, and that are therefore responsible for the colonization of the earth by the plants.

Green plants as their name suggests are plants with a greenish color.
Seed plants are a group of plants comprising all vascular plant lineages that produce seeds.

My mum

What would I tell my mother in a letter of thanks? Mum you do not know how happy I feel when I have you by my side. You are alive and you keep holding my hand to cross the street, thank you.

When I was little I did not understand how lucky I am, but now I know it and I respect those people who have no mum. Thank you for always having a sincere word and a good advice for me. Thank you for being the pillar, which you have been during my 15 years of life, for being so special to me. Thanks mum because I know you will not fail me, because along with my father you have given to me the best examples. You have always made believe in my family and especially in me, thank you mom! Knowing that you are happy, makes me a very happy girl, thank you mom because you have given me the best teaching of life and I will never forget it!

Thank you MUM more for respecting me and loving me as I am, for accepting me and valuing me, for supporting me, for listening to me when I needed it. Thank you for trying to be my best friend, my sister, my life partner, to take care of me and teach me.

The Spinners

The Spinners are popular new toys, which are made to calm nerves and anxiety.  They are small devices that allow you to spin it in your hand. This toy has been created as a calming device for children, and soon it has been discovered that adults enjoyed it as well.

Catherine Hettinger, has created the original fidget spinner in 1993 and patented his product in 1997. She sold a couple thousand of them in the 1990 at fairs in Florida.

Fidget spinners can be bought online or at a variety of stores. Most fidget spinners can typically be found online for around 5 dollars, some of the devices are free, but they can cost up to 1000 dollars.

The problem of this toy is that children are easily distracted in the school.

How to Get Away With a Murder

Hi!

In this post of the English blog I’m going to talk about a TV series, How to Get Away with Murder.

The story talks about a group of university students, Connor, West, Laurel, Malika and Ashton. The five young people study law and they are chosen for the teacher Annalise Keating to join her buffet, but a lot of bad things start to happen and all become murderers.

I love this series because I think that the main character, Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), is amazing and very talented. Her performance is incredible and I love the character that represents. I also really like the story of the series because it has drama, police investigations, murders and love.

I recommended a lot this series, when you start to see one episode you can’t stop.

The Pug

The Carlino / pug is a small and chubby dog, but at the same time is robust. It has a very short snout and a huge round head. The teeth close slightly in the form of a clamp. The eyes are dark, very large and prominent. They are small, thin and have button-shaped ears. The face has large, deep wrinkles. The tail is implanted high and curled in the back. Double curls are preferred in exhibitions. The fur is short, soft and fine.

Skateboarding

Skateboarding is the act of riding on a skateboard. A person who skateboards is called a “skateboarder”.

Skateboarding can be a hobby, an art, a job, or a way of moving around. Skateboarding has changed by many skateboarders over many years. A 2002 report by an American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world.

Skateboarding started when surfers in California wanted to take surfing to the street. The first skateboard was invented in the 1950s. From that moment, the new culture of skateboarding was created.

It is the basic trick of the skateboard, is “the mom of the old of trick”. It is a jump with the board.

It is a similar to the ollie, but it is more difficult.

How to make a cheesecake

Today I will teach you how to make a cheesecake. You will need some ingredients that are presented in a list.

 Ingredients

- 200 grams of cream cheese

- 4 large eggs

- A natural yogurt

- A glass of liquid cream yogurt

- A glass of whole milk yogurt

- A glass of flour yogurt

- A glass and a half of sugar yogurt

- A chemical yeast sachet

- Marmalade of the flavor that you prefer

 PREPARATION

·       Start by preheating the oven to 180ºC. Take a large bowl and mix all the ingredients and then the yeast and flour once it is done like a cream. Mix it again and then when the oven is hot, you put your dough about 40-45 minutes.

·       When the 40-50 minutes finish, remove it from the oven, poke it with a fork to check that it is baked. Then when it is already cold, we put the jam on the top.

The Greatest Artists

Taylor Swift is the singer that more money earns, a number that turns her, in addition, into the artist of any kind with more income with 170 million dollars. Without releasing new cd from 2014, the earnings of her last tour and her appearances in several advertising companies, have caused that Taylor occupies the first place in the list of the best-paid musicians in 2016.

In the list it follows the group One Direction, which occupies the second place with 110 million dollars, thanks to their tour On The Road Again. They are followed by their compatriot Adele that earns 80,5 million.

The energetic Madonna is in the fourth position, with an income of 76,5 $ million, owed principally to her tour Rebel Heart. Later we find Rihanna with 75 million together with her companion Ariadne Grande. Not very far in the list, we could see Paul McCartney and Justin Bieber with 56 million dollars. It is not true that the most famous are the ones with the highest income. None of these names manages to approach even the following numbers: we find Bill Gates with 75.000 million, on the top of the list, or the 67.000 of the Spanish Amancio Ortega, owner of the group Inditex.

Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli is an animation Japanese studio. It’s considered by critics and many moviegoers as one of the best animation studios in the world nowadays. In June 1985, Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata founded Studio Ghibli as a different way to understand animation. In 1986, they produced Castle in the Sky. It was their first film.

Curious facts:

Disney is the company that is responsible for distributing international films of Studio Ghibli.

Hayao Miyazaki is feminist and environmentalist. It is for this reason that in all his films, the protagonist is female, and in many of them talk about topics with an environmental impact.

Chihiro world won a golden bear at the Berlin Film Festival. It was the only animated film non-American to win the prize.

In the logo of Studio Ghibli character Totoro, a spirit of the forest who appears in the film My Neighbor Totoro appears.

They closed up in 2014, but their 22 films will always be remembered!

My Favourite TV Series

Today, I’m here to recommend you some series you need to see. As you know, Netflix is a platform that has been getting so popular lately. Yes, I’m in too and I take profit of it watching a lot of series. For that reason, I’m going to show you my top 3 nowadays.

Starting with the last one I have seen, here you have “13 reasons why”, which is a hard serie but I have found it so interesting. 13 reasons why start with a boy who returns home from school and finds that he has received a package. This package contains seven tapes used by Hannah Baker, the girl of his school he worked with, who has recently suicided. Each tape explains a reason why she has killed herself.

Secondly, I would recommend you Pretty Little Liars, I’ sure you know what is this serie about, it’s a typical one. Although it is, I really find it so interesting and I have seen it at least four times. This one talks about a girl who is dead and strange messages that suddenly appears on her friends’ phones.

At last but not least, I’m going to talk you about Gossip Girl, another typical serie but my favourite. Like Pretty Little Liars, I’ve watched it lots of times but it doesn’t matter: it surprises me every time I watch it. This last one talks abaout a group of teenagers that have a lot of secrets. There’s someone whose job is to post all of this secrets on a web, and problems start…

I hope you have liked and that you watch this series. If you don’t have Netflix, don’t worry, there are always other ways where you can see them!

Beauty and the Beast

It’s an American film of Live-Action and fantasy directed by Bill Condon. It became one of the most expected films this 2017. Many people will know the story but if it isn’t your case, now I’m going to explain it. Bella is a young dreamer who lives in a small village. One day his father travels to sell an invention and has an accident, so he looks for help in the castle of the Beast. Beast encloses him in his castle because he stole a rose. Bella cares about her father and goes on her quest. When she finds the castle, she decides to make an exchange and occupies the position of her father. During her stay in the castle, she meets the Beast and they fall in love.

There isn’t much difference between the animated film and this Live-action, although they have extended the story giving more details to the lives of the secondary characters and also Beauty and Beast. It’s very well decorated and I was impressed by the lighting of the scenes, especially inside the castle. I think the actors did a very good job and they have also made an animated character come true. It had very good reviews from many critics and newspapers.

I really recommend this movie if you haven't seen it yet. It captures your attention from the first minute and in songs you can’t avoid singing.
